Pose's gallery: three shots of Spot On listed in the sidebar, and each shot's light and dark pictures side by side, with the time it was taken.
Every screenshot on this page was taken by Pose, from a pose file. Here Pose shows the pictures it took for Spot On's website.

Change the UI. Update screenshots automatically.

You moved a button, and now all the pictures on your website, in your docs and in the App Store are out of date. Retaking them by hand takes an afternoon, and they never quite match the ones you took last time. With Pose you get the same screens at the same size, in the same order, with the same demo data.

Redesign as often as you like: your screenshots keep up.

Easy visual recipes

Each shot is a list of simple, clear steps you set in a visual editor. Click together a user journey of any length with actions: click, double click, press keys, type text, wait for labels, choose from menus and resize the window. Then take a screenshot of part of the window, the whole window or the whole screen.

A shot open in Pose: five steps that click Shortcuts, press Command N, type a name, press Return and capture the window, with the picture they took on the right.

Reliable and predictable

Every shot starts from the same state, with the same demo data, so shots never get in each other's way. Pose follows the best practices of UI automation, and leaves you room to bend them when you need to.

A plain text file you can read

Behind the visual editor is a pose file, in a simple syntax you can learn in ten minutes. It lives with the rest of your code, and it is versioned and reviewed like anything else. Your team will understand it on first read.

Every new pose file comes with a full set of examples to copy, and the Reference is one click away.

Don't guess, pick straight from your app

Use the app you are shooting as your reference while you edit.

Not sure what a button is called? Open your app with a click and pick from every label on the screen.

Unsure about the size? Drag the window until it is just right, and Pose remembers it. Need to focus on a detail? Draw the area over a picture of the screen, for the perfect shot every time.

Pick Label over the whole screen: Spot On open in front of Pose, and a panel listing the labels found in Spot On's window, each with a Use button.
Pick Label with Spot On open: every label macOS can see in its window, each one a click away from your step.

Let your agent write it once

Copy the instructions into your favourite coding agent. It reads your source, finds the labels and launch arguments to reach each screen to showcase, and writes the pose file. Then you press Run.

The agent writes the script once. From then on it is an offline, repeatable script that stands on its own.

Right on your Mac

Pose drives your app from a script on your Mac and takes the pictures right there. There is no service to upload to, no AI model and nobody in between. It works even with the network off.

Wherever your app is shown

One pose file keeps every picture of your app current, wherever it appears.
